This page recounts some miscellaneous errors and abnormalities that I have encountered with computers or websites.

Computer Case

I bought a new case online for my Linux server (the one made out of wood would no longer do). When I was given delivery options though, downloading was one of them. I am not quite sure how you download a case. I never did try selecting that option though to see what the store would have done.

Printer Problems

My parents were actually able to install their printer themselves, but it gave some interesting status messages. I am not sure if this because how my parents installed the printer, or just some random Windows/HP bug.

Viruses

I actually encountered this computer at work . I believe this was my personal record for the number of viruses found on one machine at a time (about 215). Now all I have to do is get a screen shot for all the spyware I found at work...

Microsoft Office Install

I was installing a version of Office 2000, when I discovered that Microsoft must had made some improvements in their bloatware department. In fact, by installing Office it said I would actually save 20 megs on my disk.

When was that file modified?

While working on Playlist Selector, I noticed that my distribution file had some odd attributes. It was actually modified before it was created. I'm not quite sure how this happened. And no, I wasn't screwing around with my clock at the time.

Microsoft Security

While installing the Microsoft Windows SDK, I got a nice little warning message saying that their installation page possibly had some security flaws. Hmm...good thing IE caught Microsoft's error.
