Trekking in Patagonia

January – March 2014
Myself in Ushuaia, “The End of the World”

While the weather was cold in the northern hemisphere, I chased summer to Patagonia with my first trip to South America (it’s like America, but south). I visited many places in southern Chile and Argentina throughout my two and a half months there and undertook many great treks amongst forests, glaciers, and mountains. My main knowledge source on where to hike was Lonely Planet’s Trekking Patagonia, accompanied by a few other guide books for logistics. I survived despite my complete lack of Spanish, although my trip would have been easier and more fulfilling had I been able to speak the language.
