Japan (mainichi nichiyōbi)

After trekking in the Himalayas but still waiting for Siberia to warm up, I explored Japan. Unfortunately I was too early for hiking in their Alps, but still found some other treks, mainly from Lonely Planet’s Hiking Japan, due to my complete lack of speaking or reading Japanese. The quality of the hikes varied considerably. The ones I did included:

• Amagi-san Traverse, Tokyo Region
• Aso-san, Kyūshū
• Kirishima Traverse, Kyūshū
• Mitsu-tōge-yama, Tokyo Region
• Oze, Tokyo Region
• Tsurugi-san to Miune, Shikoku

I also was a camera toting tourist in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima.

One day when I am not out continually on the road hopefully I’ll get a full trip report posted.
