Backpacking Europe

European Union Flag

After spending close to six months thoroughly exploring New Zealand, I continued onto the third stage of my Wanderlust World Tour— backpacking Europe. I took my time getting there though, traveling overland in Asia via China and Mongolia. I did my paperwork wrong at the last minute for my Russian visa, so unfortunately instead of riding the Trans-Siberian Railroad, I flew to Germany. In Europe I was mostly in “tourist mode,” making the most of my Eurail pass, always moving while taking a whirlwind tour exploring the major attractions and historical spots. Still, I occasionally got off the beaten path and found some hidden gems away from the throngs.
